Saari means "value". It is an android smartphone app that is designed to solve the two major challenges faced by refugees, that is hunger and lack of basic requirements. It connects entities around the country that have food and household materials to donate with NGOs and charities working directly with the refugees. These entities include supermarkets, grocery stores, worship centers and individual households among many others. Commercial donors like supermarkets can donate products that are approaching the end of their shelf life for instance instead of keeping them on the shelves where they normally expire and are just thrown away
