SEE ALLUsing open-source software and common, commercially available hardware, the piClinic Console provides the most valuable patient-record automation functions for a very low cost.
For a low initial cost, clinics can start moving their records from paper to an electronic system. The piClinic Console's limited feature set reduces the time to learn the system and the electronic filing system helps clinics create and assign individual identification numbers while supporting existing identification systems during the transition.
After installation, the clinic can transition to the system during the normal course of daily operations. As more information is loaded into the system, patient information and reporting activities become easier and faster.
Initially, grant funding supports the console development and the testing to demonstrate its effectiveness in a range of clinic environments. The information gained from these initial tests will be presented to investors to suppor the plans to scale up the project.
Success stories will be promoted to organizations who sponsor or run similar clinics. These organizations include NGOs, charitable foundations, and national Ministries of Health. Systems may be purchased as components or as complete, turn-key systems.
Future development will continue to evaluate new features and emerging technologies to maintain the lowest system cost and the highest utility to the clinics.
