The unavailability or basic learning resources is at the heart of the poor class literacy and numeracy progression of students and limiting teacher support in Kenya. In Kenya, there are more mobile devices than radios, and more that 90% of their subscribers use mobile money with 78% accessing the internet at least once a day. These devices have overhauled the financial sector, health sector and can change the education sector in the distribution of learning content on smartphones. With publishers, the owners of the content, eager to get past the distribution problem, an e-reader application with a mobile money wallet has become a viable solution.
