SkyLIFE engineers and manufactures modern products for HA/DR supply chain to airdrop aid directly to aid recipients on the grounds. SkyLIFE products help deliver anything anywhere from the air, including physical items and electronic communication.

SkyLIFE has designed a holistic logistic system wherein SkyLIFE packaging (designed to carry less than 50lb portions of aid) or communication devices enable HA/DR organizations to air drop aid directly to recipients. Aid is dropped using SkyLIFE’s precise scatter technology. Aerial delivery eliminates any delay in delivery of aid due to impaired transportation infrastructure (airports, seaports or roads). It enables HA/DR to reach the most remote of locations.
SkyLIFE’s deployment systems can be used on any type of aircraft (fixed-wing, rotary-wing, or drone) without onerous retrofitting. The system is designed to quickly integrate into on-going HA/DR logistics.
Communication devices offer features such as: repeat playback, continuous FM broadcast, wireless message updates and chargeable. The devices can be hand distributed or air dropped (devices can be air dropped as individual devices). It provides better communication than leaflets or word of mouth messages.
With the exception of the communication devices, 100% of SkyLIFE airdrop packaging is made of virgin polypropylene. Virgin polypropylene can be burned for fuel emitting less toxins than standard firewood. Thus packaging can be burned after the aid payload is consumed. SkyLIFE has designed and manufactured production systems to recycle and reuse the packaging by creating briquettes as a form of alternative fuel that can be used in open hearth cooking or as briquettes for cook stoves. Stage 5: Scaling
Since 2016, SkyLIFE has been integrated within the WFP supply chain in S. Sudan. It has run multiple production lines in Ethiopia, Uganda and Kenya using local labor. It now seeks to expand it’s regional footprint to enable aerial delivery globally

Currently, there is a time delay between a disaster occurs and first response of the delivery of aid. This delay is often a result of impaired transportation technology.
SkyLIFE innovates and manufactures delivery products that enable efficient air drop capability to HA/DR supply chain.
It is unique because it ELIMINATES CONTACT between aid workers and aid recipients. SkyLIFE products enable HA/DR to drop and disseminate small packages directly from air to fall in predetermined specific scatter patterns to communities who merely pick the packages from the ground - MITIGATING THE SPREAD OF INFECTIOUS DISEASE.
AID WORKERS, AID RECIPIENTS, HA/DR ORGANIZATIONS and the ENVIRONMENT benefit.
Workers and recipients do not interact to distribute aid from SkyLIFE’s air drop system - limiting disease contagion. Immobile recipients do not need to travel to distribution centers. Precise scatter pattern technology ensures air drop aid reaches remote communities. Packaging is recyclable.
SkyLIFE generated significant cost savings and easily integrated with WFP in it’s pilot program.
Mission and Vision
SkyLIFE’s mission is to save lives and ease suffering in the aftermath of disaster by designing and manufacturing tools to revolutionize supply chain for HA/DR.
SkyLIFE was founded after the 2010 Haitian earthquake with the intention of modernizing delivery of humanitarian aid. It’s airdrop technology has been used by WFP since 2016 in South Sudan. More recently, SkyLIFE has developed air drop audio and video cards modernizing traditional leaflets, providing an often overlooked form of aid.
COST EFFECTIVE: WFP has saved over $40 million by using SkyLIFE, by enabling WFP to switch from using costly helicopters to fixed wing aircraft to air drop.
SAFE: SkyLIFE is “contactless” protecting both aid worker and recipient. Other delivery methods require distribution centers where people congregate and may spread disease. SkyLIFE can deploy at high altitudes to be effective when hostile ground conditions are present. No ground personnel is required for distribution of SkyLIFE’s airdrops.
EFFICIENT: SkyLIFE enables delivery of large volumes of aid, limited only by the size of the deployment aircraft. Modern delivery methods such as drones cannot deliver large volumes.
RECYCLABLE: SkyLIFE packaging does not contribute to the waste stream. The majority of packaging can be burned as an alternative fuel source, mitigating damage to the environment and violence against women and children who forage for firewood.
Planned Goals and Milestones
SkyLIFE’s goal is to integrate its air drop technology into existing HA/DR supply chain as a new standard of care. Offering HA/DR the ability to deliver aid within hours after disaster strikes, and the ability to deliver the aid when ground conditions are unsafe, including the threat of infectious disease.
SkyLIFE is intended to be used for aid delivery until such time that conventional forms of delivery can be made.
