The Commission is helping the EU Member States deal with the current crisis caused by the outbreak of COVID-19 through a number of adopted measures.
There is a huge potential in the domain of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics to contribute to the fight against COVID-19. We are currently looking for innovative solutions, which are mature enough to be deployed in the healthcare sector. These could range from AI-powered diagnostics of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and COVID-19 disease to using robots and advanced sensors to help detect the disease in patients , to disinfect hospital premises or for hospital logistics, tele-presence robots for support at home, etc.
